Handicap slipping back up

Not sure whats happening got cut 2.4 a month ago now cant hit the dam ball.
played in three comps gone up .1 in every one.
Played today in the spring cup stableford 23 points what the hell.
Ok all these comps off whites but still should be better than this
Am I putting to much preasure on myself to play to new handicap ?

if you think you might be, you probably are; in fact if you are thinking about it at all you are

I was cut 0.8 on the 18th Sept last (to 8.7), and have only managed 3 buffers in the 16 Q comps since so if I was you I really wouldn't worry about it yet.

This year I picked up where I left off handicap wise from back in mid 2011.

I have shown I can still play to it by twice winning 9 hole 3/4 handicap comps but yet to get anywhere near it in a qualifier (only 2 a month so its not easy).

I wouldn't worry, I'm not as I know the hard work I am putting in during practice will pay off one day soon. If it does not then at least I had fun practising!

I wouldn't worry. In cat 4, you only need to shoot one round one under CSS to get a cut that reverses all those +0.1's.

Just don't let your handicap get to you. It is what it is. Play well and it will come down all on it's own. You don't need to force it.

At least you have had a cut this year. 0.1 all the way in 2013 so far. One more and I'm back to 11. Not happy
