Years ago, some pro's were asked this question. Gary Player replied that if his life depended on it and he couldnt take the putt himself then he would have Bobby Locke take the putt. Reason he said was that he had played dozens of competitive rounds with Locke and never seen him 3-putt! Good enough for me.
