Great TV

[stands up] Hi, my names Bryan and........I'm a Doc Martin Fan. Just nice simple well written humour, Clunes is very good, as he is in most things he does.

Having said that, I also very much like The Walking Dead, Homeland, Spartacus, Game of Thrones, True Blood (have already seen Season 4), Luck, Friday Night Lights, Weeds etc.etc. There's a lot of good progs around at the moment, I sometimes wonder how I keep up with them because I don't sit in front of the TV all night every night - usually record everything and then sit down in spurts and watch a big chunk of them, fast forwarding the ads cuts about 20 mins from the average hour long prog.

I quite like Doc Martin as well, used to live in the South West and the accents and characters make me laugh because I can see people I knew in them. Apart from that I used to love Spooks and Hustle until they finished. Right now I'm watching Shameless which as isn't as good as it was but still makes me laugh. Never really got into all these American series.

Never seen Doc Martin, and as a matter of policy don't watch ITV anyway. I hear that some of the plot lines are laughably unrealistic - a GP going back to be a vascular surgeon in London - I don't think so. Would rather poke my eyes out with a rusty nail than watch Heartbeat.

Lots of good stuff on Sky at the moment - including Luck which has started very well. Also watch a bit of Top Gear, Homeland and have a few episodes of Borgen and The Killing waiting on the planner.

To be honest I don't watch much TV anymore. Its either the sport or some documentary on one of the Discovery channels and a bit of Masterchef.

I was on Masterchef a couple of years ago. Didn't last very long :o

I am partial to a bit of "comfy" Sunday night telly. More a Poirot sort of man though. Something well written and acted but without anything too taxing. Glass of single malt, bit of cheese and I'm ready to ease myself back into the working week the next day.

Given the amount of time you're on here, writing your blog, on other social media sites, down the range / practice ground, playing and finding time for the odd bit of actual work, I am not surprised you don't watch much tv!!!

Touche

Actually a few years back when I was on the sauce, I use to come back from the pub and watch TV with a couple more tinnies. Its amazing how many great programmes are on in the early hours. Classic comedy like Likely Lads, Reggie Perrin, some great documentaries and some good films. Often wasn't hitting the sack until 2.00am

My favourite tv show is Hawaii five-0, absolutely love it, the story lines are great and well thought ut and the action is top :) I also really like bones, yes it's a crime drama but I enjoy the perspective it's from and it can be quite numerous in places, entourage is also another one that I like, apart from that I just watch sport mainly... Atm I'm finding Vietnam:lost films really interesting, incredibly eye opening

I consider it training for the future!

Another Zomb freak eh. Get hold of a book called "world war z - an oral history of the zombie apocolypse." Ive just finished it and am now fully prepared for the Zombie onslaught. Come on walkers, ive got a sharpened spade with your name on it....

It's the first book in years to actually make me have nightmares. The matter of factness when describing events is just unnerving.. If they can turn it into a film, then I'm definately going to the cinema to watch it. Mrs Bluewolf will have to watch something else though..
