As an old fogey, I'm not really into all the new tv programmes being made these days, still pretty much stuck in the 70s/80s.
So what a breath of fresh air Martin Clunes has been as Doc Martin.
I know it's not a new series, but no violence, murder, car chases, just nice well written and funny.
Is it just me ?

HID loves it. She's only 25, but she's a bit old for her time, bless her; As she loves Midsomer Murders and Murder She Wrote too

I've seen a few episodes by proxy and it does have it's moments, I must admit.

Excellent uncomplicated programme... Proves you can still make watchable programs without resorting to sex, violence or foul language...

Yes, I am an old fuddy duddy...

Whats wrong with sex, violence and foul language?

I don't really watch much TV other than sport, but im really enjoying Luck on Sky Atlantic.. Coupled with Homeland and The Walking Dead.... Can't say that Doc Martin really appeals to me, but I do appreciate that some people like watching that sort of program (Heartbeat for example)...

The Walking Dead is incredible viewing. Which reminds me, new episode is "available" tonight ;)

Finished watching Homeland over the weekend too. Absolutely the best series I've seen in a LOOONG time.

awful accents and now more reason for you emits to come down here clogging are roads up

And putting millions into the local economy, which desperately needs us outsiders to prop it up. What exactly is the employment situation in Cornwall? not counting the tourist trade...

I love Devon and Cornwall, and go every year. Usually the people are fantastic, but there's always a couple who think that they'd be better off without us "ants"...
