Got blessed by a Buddhist monk today

Not sure what that tells me about religion.

I walked away relatively unscathed, so maybe the blessing helped?

No, we visited a temple and were invited to kneel in front of the monk
for a blessing. He threw some holy water over my head and blessed me.

We also saw a mummified monk who died 60 years ago but whose hair and fingernails are still growing.
