Gordon Brown retiring from politics.

I admire the sentiment but it's factually incorrect. The vast majority of "no" voters had decided over a year before the referendum. The result might have been closer but the outcome the same. Brown et al blinked too soon and now we're saddled with more devolution that nobody voted for.

Correct.

And I would add 'or wanted'.

I thought when the referendum finished you would stop posting inaccuracies like this. The only reason Scotland isn't an independent country is because the MAJORITY of Scotland didn't want it to be.

Get over it.

Correct.

And I would add 'vast' between 'the' and 'majority'.

Strange how Alex Salmond agrees with my comments.
The swing was with the Yes voters until the panic measures of 'The Vow' and big Broons intervention.
Why would they intervene if the majority was as solid as you say?
Ha ha..Maybe, you should have put up then for leadership instead of Ms Sturgeon..So Salmond agrees with you eh..To be beaten to the vote by speech from good old Gordon, either does not say a lot for Salmond, or how the electorate voted in the referendum...It has happened..Move on.

Nope.

What IS strange (or perhaps not) is that Salmond can't accept he failed on so many points to persuade / con (whichever is applicable) the electorate into agreeing with him.

Accept it and move on.

As an aside, when did Salmond let you know he agreed with your comments? Was it a PM (wonder what his username is?) Or did he give you a wee call? ;)

BTW, on topic, I reckon Gordon Brown was an extremely good chancellor.....Yep he cocked up selling the Gold reserves, but overall he done a good job imo.
