Golfing Plans this weekend 7th & 8th Dec

Was out for six holes yesterday in 45 mph cross wind - best thing I could have done. Hit every fairway and didn't think about the recent swing changes at all.

Into work early today so should get away early then to the range to hit a bucket of balls.

Saturday is back to the range in the morning - then 220 mile (round trip) drive to photograph Morton v Dundee in Greenock.

Sunday morning is editing video but I should get nine holes in during the afternoon. :swing:

Turkey trot sat 8am. Not swung a club in 3 weeks. Going to be awful.

I got a Hole-in-One on my first excursion for over 2 months last week! Just let the swing flow and don't put pressure on yourself!

I'm off to Brockett Hall first thing Saturday. Will need to warm up before warming up by the looks of the forecast! Frost (front) pins likely too.

no chance! golf in freezing weather with temp tees and winter greens...........you'd have to be mad

Can everyone who posted on here report back on how they got on if they did play , thanks ..................EYG

Bounce game tomorrow and it doesn't look like freezing overnight so it looks like us southerners are going to get away with another week without temp greens. I just hope it continues to next weekend as Homer and I are playing our winter knockout match on Saturday and we have our last qualifier of the year on Sunday.

Should be lovely out there apart from the tortoises in front. Can you make sure I'm in the first group if you do the draw as I need to shoot off straight after

i've got the weekend free as the misses is away..

havent got a tee slot booked as its impossible to book when there is only 7-8 hours of light, need to start by 11 latest to get a round in and even if you call up bang on the dot the week before someone has already booked 10 slots they wont turn up for.... so im just going to wander up early, bout 7.15 and try and get a green slot or just join a group...

might do the same on sunday, though its a better ball comp so will see...

on a positive note, winter solstice 2 weeks tomorrow then we're back heading towards summer again:whoo:

No golf for me. There is a charity comp on Saturday that has a limited number of entrants. If you played in it the previous year then you get priority to enter this year. At last check I was 14th on the reserve list. That is closing 2 tees between 9 and 11 which means there is little time for 18 after the comp and it will be jammed before hand as the course only opens at 8 so those not in the comp will be trying to get out in a 1 hour slot. Even if you did get out before the comp, holes 19-27 will be jammed solid as they are the only open holes for those not in the competition. Actually a bit hacked off about this (aside from it being for charity which is obviously a good thing) as I only get to play at weekends so to effectively shut the course when it is the only day that quite a few can play is not great. May see if I can get permission from HID to nip out for a few holes on Sunday.

Society outing tomorrow , nice course mature & well kept , i enjoy playing it so took the night off from the second job as its an hour away and 9-10 am tee times... not going down well with boss but hey..

13 hole winter league on sunday , round 5 i think , try post a few scores for the team comp , individual comp was gone after first 2 weeks .. ..

Temperatures looks set to be ok both nights so hopefully full greens both days ..

BRING ON THE WEEKEND :clap::swing:

I'm flying out to Boulder Colorado tomorrow and hoping to get a round in on Sunday. Well I was until I saw the weather forecast which was maximum of 15 and minimum of 1. Not bad I thought, until I realised it was in Fahrenheit

I guess I may have to layer up a bit, and hope for the best when I land on the green as I am guessing they will not be that responsive.

No golf today.... Rosemount & Wee courses closed due to snow, Lansdowne course open, on winter greens, play not advisable due to 1 inch of snow.No ride on buggies. :(

Played with liverbirdie, podge and scouser. I left my game at home. piss poor performance. sorry LB! Podge played well!

Just home from the course, very dissappointed with my score today, 37 points with no blobs. Leading when I left was 44. My putter was naughty once again, I must have had 8 three puts which is unusual for me, the rest of the game is steady atm. Last two rounds using the same ball has returned 77points with no blobs,
