Well I wont be playing Saturday as I lots on but I hope to get out sunday morning for a knock as I have not played in ages , whats your plans , ? turkey trots , comps ? :)

Group lesson plus video of swing on Saturday afternoon for me. Early Sunday morning will be a knock with HimID and the other blokes we play with on a Sunday. HimID is also playing in a scramble on Saturday morning .

Palace v Cardiff Saturday afternoon and 4bbb bounce game Sunday morning, then son and his girl friend and two grandchildren round for dinner - what more would I want

Medal Sunday. Depending on the weather should get 18 in the roll up Saturday morning

Saturday I'm up town all day with our niece , cable cars at 02' cinema, hamleys polished off with a takeaway Saturday and lots of Disney films, Sunday I'm going to shank like a mofo and freeze like a hobo with a 7:45 tee off.

Monthly medal for me on Saturday, forecast is decent at the moment.

Blairgowrie is covered in snow tonight, so unless there is a thaw it'll be links golf. Hopefully the weather will improve by Monday as I have an invite to play Gleneagles PGA.

First time playing in a 4-ball Texas Scramble on Sunday

Is this format just for fun or is there a course/comp management to be applied?

If so what strategy would you recommend?

I love playing Texas scrambles, depends on rules but try to get every ones drives in ASAP then you can all have a crack on the last couple of holes. Other than that it's often best to get your better players second shot in early as it can take the pressure off, similarly with the best putter.

Thanks for the info, yeah 4 drives including a par 3 tee shot to count from each player. Closing two holes contain three big enough carries so we'd want to get there with as many options remaining as possible I think, looking forward to it though
