Golf Random Irritations

I’m not sure if I’m unusual but I never drink during a round.
If driving I’ll have a soft drink before and after and if not I’ll have a beer before and after but have never take anything food or drink wise on the course
Much the same as me only take water out in summer never have anything to eat , I’ve seldom seen anyone eating during a round at my course.
Don’t really feel tired after a round and I’m 71, must be hardier bunch up north. 😉

I played today, about 6 degrees c, flat calm. We were a 3 and a 4 ball. To myknowldge no one ate or drank anything during the round, some had coffee before, we all did afterwards. This is certainly very typical. Different in summer though.

Not so much an irritation but a downright bloody annoyance.

Went to a local indoor Trackman facility today (same place i went to last week to have a "round" when it was raining)...thought I'd have a range session and look at gapping and trying to sort my transition (ooh err) from irons to wooden clubs, beleiving there to be some possible "bunching" of yardages between 7i and 5hybrid.

Got all set up, logged in to the Trackman system, had worked my way through the bag from gap wedge through to 7 wood, was actually hitting the ball pretty consistently, only needing half a dozen shots with most clubs to see good repeatable patterns of consistency when...

...the damned PC that was running the Trackman software decided to reboot itself.

Was advised that the data would almost certainly be retained as it was uploaded to Trackman servers live, as shots were being hit. PC was eventually restored to working order and a new session was initiated...played on through the rest of the bag and concluded my session.

Was there any data in my Trackman account from the pre-failure session? Was there 'eck.

Thoroughly pee'd off....not because of the wasted session, or the money it cost, but because I was actually hitting the ball really consistently and generating good consistent data...for the most part I can remember carry yardages from AW through to 7i but where I showed a little inconsistency with the 6i and 5 hybrid... i cannot remember at all what my variations in yardages were. Got some nice 7 wood through to Driver data from the post failure session....but the crucial crossover area is lost.

One thing that did strike me was how slow my swing has become...Driver club head speed down as low as 83mph.

I'd have been speaking to them about getting a refund or discount on another session given that you didn't get your data which was the sole purpose for going.
