The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
Down to a combination of time, course being Carry only, playing partners not wanting to continue, me not wanting to continue, rain, wind, cold and illness I've played a total of 1 full 18 holes in the last month.........lots of 9, 11, 12, 16 holders but just the one 18.....if I carry more than a dozen holes, even with a half set, the arthritis in my right knee let's me know who's in charge....
Won't get out until 29th/30th and that might be a short one too....

After a few years taking the p out of a couple of pals because their Ping G425 and G430 drivers sound like empty tin cans, my G400 driver has started doing it too. I think it's because I'm suddenly finding the middle of the face.

Played alongside a G425 the other day, makes me laugh every time. Especially when this guy is hitting toe bangers all the time and doesn't seem to realise it.

One of the social golf groups i'm in just meets to play once a month with drinks after, good craic, but it seems the organiser is in love with scramble format (which is fine to play 2-3 times a year) but I've seriously had my fill of it for the time being so I've had to pull out of playing in the group next 'comp' and book my own tee time two hours later

Yeah you're right.
This group (husbands) only started due to the ladies group my wife set up going out each month, so the 'menfolk' go out before or after
If he'd just throw in more betterballs or 2 from 4, it'd be faster, you get to play your own ball and still no hint of pressure on the blokes who've been out on the lash the night before (main reason for scramble)

I have the G425 and the noise is nuts, but because all my playing partners laugh and wince at it, makes me love it all the more. The club has character! It is also unquestionably the most forgiving driver I’ve played (and I have played A LOT)

Just noticed on the online booking that it looks like the club are moving from 10min to 8min tee spacing for next year. Can only be for revenue since so many played rounds are green fee
(I guess you cant really stick the course on TV then not expect more tourists booking to play, so it'll a busier 2025)

Tee off on the par 5 17th funny ball flight driver goes about 170yds, 3W 120yds, 5W 100 yds, scramble a 7.
18th same story get to the green and the ball is split round the circumference

Sometimes the core goes first before it shows through the cover.

Couldn’t see anything on the 17th green.I clearly don’t possess the self-belief that my bad shots are down to the equipment
