Golf Random Irritations

Not might, he definitely will, but otherwise correct yes. It looks like tomorrow morning is the only time it's not raining so I've told him I'm sticking with that and he can join me if he ever mans up. 😄
Tell him you have reported his embarrassing behaviour to the forum and if he dint turn up tomorrow then Saturday night your putting all his social media accounts for us all to abuse him.
You will then have to pretend to be us cause we’re all too old too know how to use twotter or whatever it is 😂

There's an American Golf near my office, so I had a little stroll down there at lunch to have a go with some of these 'zero torque' putters. Except they barely had any in stock. They had a super-long 38" version of the TM Spider ZT, and the only Odyssey ones they had were the ugly LAB DF3 rip-off shape (which were also much lighter than I thought they'd be). That was all. So that was a wasted trip.

..that I'm not as consistent as I'd like to be at what I'm good at.

Problem is...I think I should be more consistent but what makes me think that. :ROFLMAO:
Problem I've started having - after a month or two of great form got me cut by 3 shots, I now seem to be reverting back to the standard I was playing before - only with three shots less to play with. Found myself getting more annoyed with bad shots in the last two weeks, like I expected to play brilliantly forever or something.

Amen to that. Expectations seem to rise quicker than golfing ability, unfortunately. I'll look back on a round that got me annoyed and think, "actually, a couple of months ago that would've been decent for me, perhaps it wasn't so bad," but in the moment it's worse.

Agreed. Maybe that's a problem with Stableford, I'm looking at my 30 points gutted when it would have been 33 not so long ago and I'd have been fairly satisfied.

Winter is coming now anyway - that's usually a good time to get used to making worse scores.

Over a 4inch putt!!
Can’t remember which shot it was. But saw a podcast yesterday and they timed Cantlay over the ball. He addressed the ball and price to just stand there doing his disco feet for 59seconds before pulling the trigger.

Imagine that in every shot, I’m no maths genius but base than of a round of say 70shots with quick multiplication in my head I think that equates to about 40mins!

That’s a hell of a lot of waste time just waggling!

You’re not a maths genius 😜😜. Hint : There are 60 seconds in a minute, not 100…

My mate has joined a new club after 2 years of nomadic golf, has a WHS handicap and SG record but new club pro has told him he needs to put 3 cards in.
Thought WHS handicap doesn’t become inactive 🤔
Handicaps are active as long as the player is an affiliated member of a club, society or independent golfer scheme.
There is never a requirement to submit 3 more scores on joining a new club, even after a long break. However, a club may have a policy relating their own competitions that requires new members to submit such scores.

Some pros cause more problems than they solve by giving faulty advice on handicapping issues.

Th can’t be right surely! I’ve only just returned to playing so got my handicap restored using England Golf and my CDH. Currently active using iGolf and been looking at a couple of clubs to join and both have said they will take my handicap with CDH using WHS iGolf as its official !

Maybe the pro looked at his record and noted that his scores were all general play rounds attested by Darth Vader and Mickey Mouse?

If your joining a new club is it really a hardship to put three cards in?

As stated most clubs require that to win a competition.
Maybe just a misunderstanding.
