Weather was naff this morning so we didn't bother...the irritation is that, with each passing year, it takes less and less to make us look out there and go...Nah....
I am going to slide up to the club after lunch for a quick 9...
Fully open but the Carry if you can plea went out....so as I'm only doing 9..I will..

"Nothing" articles in the golfing press, on the socials etc...
By nothing I mean articles that just seem to be published for the sake of something to publish.
I don't like bad mouthing particular culprits but our own GM published an article decrying the imminent demise of the, once common, 2 iron.
Well, you have, along with every other outlet, been telling us for the last 20 odd years to ditch long irons in favour of lofted woods or hybrids...what do you expect...?
Waste of time and effort...

I had a 2 iron in the bag today, John Letters Arthur Lees, 20 degrees loft.

Unfortunately I didn't have call to use it. The best opportunity was on the par 3, 200 yard, 18th but into a breeze I sensibly opted for 3 wood great strike and then only got it pin high.

Filling space in a once a month magazine is tricky but manageable. Providing weekly content for social media accounts, a whole different story. We are only going to see more of these click bait stories, it's inevitable.

The metal clips that come with golf towels. They just aren't big enough and so it is a battle to remove them each time so that you can wash them. Why don't they do them bigger?

I buy medium sized carabiner clips off eBay and have one on my bag at all times just take the towel on and off it to clean

Had lunch with my usual PP today and we were talking about our golf and I was saying how frustrated I am with my game at the minute. So many rounds that offer so much promise only for me to lose it and end up 6 or 7 over. With my index at 6.7 and getting 7 shots around our place it’s like I’ve stalled through distraction or stupidity.

Yesterday was massively frustrating.

Nice lunch though 😀
