Golf in sub zero temperatures or sit by roaring fire

Played this morning, first time in 10 days , been skiing . Greens and fairways concrete like but enjoyed it and really enjoyed the big bowl of vegetable soup afterwards

I go out an play in all weathers.

Looks like another cold one here tomorrow but can't wait to get out for a whack. Would have loved to be out playing this afternoon, glorious winter day here.

I have played 5 times this week, sure its been cold but its been sunny and its been lovely to get out, even if its not really golf when playing on icy fairways and temporary green.

It was lovely and warm at the practice ground this afternoon. Really wished I'd been playing but there's no point in having lessons if I'm not going to practice the changes.

Just thought I would spend my lunch hour down at the range - blooming freezing with the wind chill factor coming straight at you. I thought that I would play no matter what the temperature but now thinking roaring fire would have been better. What about you?

Playing verses range in this weather is two totally different beasts. Playing with good company, good banter and a bit of a walk is fun, bashing ball on the range is like a prison sentence.

Life's too short. You'll wish u played more when you physically can't.

you don't hear many old people say they'd wished they did less of something they loved!!

Too true! Get out there and enjoy it for what it is... played this morning, 21 pts front & 19 back :D

Just played in an 18 holer today and it was glorious but cold today. 14 holes were fantastic then the stiffness set in. Just had the hottest bath possible before I do my Friday night shift, sat in front of the coal stove now thawing out.

Playing....beats sitting by the fire and sitting in work even more so. Layer up, beanie, snood, winter sun , side bet ....game on !!

Went to the range at 6pm tonight and although there was little wind, it was damn cold. The biggest problem was being able to see the ball through the mist created when you breathed out.

I wouldn't bother going for a round if it was really cold and it was just a knockabout but probably would if it was a comp.
