Its getting rather close and I no one in work wants to talk about it with me, so I thought I'd start a post.

Those that are playing, how is your game?

WHat are your plans for the week?

I think I will be travelling down with RGUK as its his birthday and he wants to play some golf.

My games coming along I just need to putt a few hours in with the putter.

whos excited? memememememememem! :D

Blimey! I'd totally fogotten about it............. ;) ;) ;)

...yeh right!

All is well in the JustOneUK training compound. Had several decent rounds lately, wouldn't mind getting a comp or two in first but the missus seems to be working on those days so I'm stuck with the kids. The Addington meet is coming up first so really looking forward to playing that actually. will hopefully be a great day for all those coming.

I don't expect there to be any problems at Walton Heath until I walk on the first tee when I might collapse and need a ventilator or heart massage

If Smiffy nobbles one off the first tee then that'll help settle the nerves ;)

Was saying to Clive last week that i've been trying to put it out of my mind. Doesnt work though as I can see it on the calendar (we cut the old half off to see the new half of next month).

Games not been going great lately as I havnt been focused too much tbh. Seem to have had a case of the cba'ds since New Year.

Had a good session on the range on Wednesday afternoon and seem to have found something resembling a swing . Playing a medal tomorrow and our first scratch league game next week. I will be putting in a lot more work before WH though.

I'm coming down with the missus the day before and staying in Epsom overnight. She's toddling off to Guildford for the day while I have my fun with you guys.

My game is just about holding up despite the change of clubs and the handicap of playing most of my recent golf with James and Murph.
Not hitting the ball as well as I know I can at the moment, driving is coming back but my iron play is a bit hit and miss. It's me, not the clubs by the way. But I'm scrambling well.
Really looking forward to the event, my only concern is my arm really. It's still giving me a bit of stick and I'm a little worried how it will react to 36 holes around the Addington literally the week before the big match. But I'm using heat pads, pain killers and gel on it at the moment and the combination seems to be working reasonably well.
I'll be driving up the morning of the match, picking The Craw up at his hotel on the way through. Knowing me, I'll be up at about 4.00 that morning.

Go on rub it in just a little bit more. I'm sure you can drain some more jealousy out if you really try  :( :(

You'd hate it mate, the first on the Old Course is a par 3 over 200yds with Out of Bounds left and right.

I'm thinking chip a 9-iron down there and hope for a longish putt

Does anyone have an idea which tees we'll be playing off?

No idea , had a look at the yardages the other day and was amazed at the differences between blues and whites. Some well over a hundred yards difference. I'm not a scaredy cat but I would think the blues wont be used or we could be there all day

I think the whites would give us a very good test of golf but still remaining in with a shout of a good score. Mr Willett can use the blues if he wants though :D

It'll either be the stupidly long tees, or the bloody rediculously long tees.

Either way I'm playing crubbish at the moment - can't hit a rhino's bum with a banjo.

And I'm wetting myself with excitement.

Had a couple of bashes of stevek1969's I15 today just as a bit of a trial before the big day. Not gonna get carried away and will just keep it on the back burner and hope I play well enough on the day!

Played today at Scotscraig with Steve, Algar and Colin and quite simply Scotscraig is in awesome condition. If Walton Heath is nearly as good as Scotscraig it will be great. Apart from 50+mph winds at times today it was fantastic. Balls blowing off the green at the last summed it up!

Liked the I15 when I had a shot today, love the G15 and hit my Rapture V2 superbly, however possibly a little high, I would happily take another V2 with a lower launching shaft.

Wonder when captain Mike H and trusted vice Jezz are gonna announce the pairings! Looking forward to it.

The longer the better for me. I can easily make double bogey on a short hole so might aswell keep the trouble out of reach :)

You take charge on the par 3's, the long par 4's and the par 5's and I'll control the game on the short 4's James.
Yep. I reckon that's the way to go.

We're going to need some feedback about scores....... did you make it to 20pts? :D :D

Think I may have just surpassed the 20 points total! The greens were magical, honestly awesome condition. Stevek1969 is a very very lucky man to be a member of such a fantastic and challenging golf course. I'm very very envious!

Scotscraig in that wind was very very tough. I held it together well and hit some good shots, could do with a bit of extra putting practice but its really just a lack of golf as our course is not long (1 week) open after a period of 3 weeks under snow!

I would like to know what colour our team tops are so I can co-ordinate with my trousers of choice! Wouldn't want to be wearing yellow trousers with a red top!

boys i read in gm magazine that the gm team are being fitted for a ping driver. do the ping team want the the gm team to win. now imagine you were all fitted with incorrect settings etc. :(. not that ping would do that. any ping fitters on the forum any thoughts. :D :D :D
