For those of us that play parkland golf, did anyone else get the news today/this week?, preferred lies through the greens are now officially OFF.
Time to see just how much of a difference they were making to my decent scoring this past couple of months. Could this be the year the handicap takes a chop back to the regions I used to reside? Or will I do a Homer (apologies Homer)?
This weekend is going to be excellent regardless, Masters week and a chance to get a cut...
Carlsberg dont do weekends.....

36 tomorrow, 18 on Saturday, and then the years first medal on Sunday. All in glorious sunshine.

For the medal, winter rules will be off, and the tees put right back. Sort out the men from the boys. It's goning to be fun.

Just need to re discover my form from about 2 weeks ago. Might try looking under the sofa, you never know where I might have left it.

36 tomorrow at a mates golf day and then my 1st comp of the year on sunday. I am and have been nervous about sunday, I am not as keen on medal format as a mid/high handicap but I have the game for it this year and thats what I must keep telling myself. I dont know but I guess it will be no more winter rules.

I need to shut the hell up and not get too cosy with my playing partners and play my own game. I want to win, I want a cut!

Had my first medal Tuesday.
Parred the first 6 holes but finished bang on h/cap thanks to a triple, a putt that bounced off line 12" from the hole and a double caused by landing on a plastic drain cover instead of nice squishy grass

Another opportunity Saturday, otherwise I'm still off 11 for Woodhall :D

Yep, I played for the first time yesterday with preferred lies off and it starts to feel like real golf again.

36 holes tomorrow with the North kent Forum which I am really looking forward to and 5 club competition (medal)on Sunday which I am not

I havn't played 36 holes in a day since long before I had my new hip so I hope that someone in my group is medically trained!!

Summer golf - here I come!

Chris
