Today I found out how it felt to 4 putt.. The worst part was my first putt was for birdie from 18 feet, 4 putts later I had a double BogeyðŸ˜
One of my PP though on our 13th hole had a 7 putt, it was agonising to watch the other 2 of us just stood there and watch him melt inside as he stood there literally asking the ball why it would punish him this way.

I have no doubt four putted too many times but nothing springs to mind foy trials on the green but,,,,,,,,,,,,,my playing partner had som fun on the 8th at sweetwoods one day ,he had played a really nice approach shot into the green going 6ft past the hole ,,now this particular green has a nasty slope from back to front and Ray [pp] was faced with his putt being directly down hill, he barely set the ball rolling and watched in total horror as it very slowly went past the hole and continued to the edge of the green some thirty five feet away from the cup. ,his second putt ended up about eight ft short , his third went by three ft and his fourth being a downhill shot again went to the edge of the green ,he was mortified and ended up taking SIX PUTTS before holing out.

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I am a new member here and was just going through the list.
Was playing in a "Fun game" at our course a few weeks back. Hit driver and 5 wood to our S.I. 1 10 foot from the flag, said to the guys I was paying with, yeah I can 4 putt from there jokingly I said, as they complemented me on my fine second shot.
Six for one was my comment, as I bent down to pick my ball out of the hole. Lost the comp by one shot.
Just checked my stats for this year, and I have TWO four putts! and THREE last year.
In my defence many of our greens are three putt territory if you are in the wrong position. Actually a guy I was playing with on Monday (Monthly Medal) had a five putt. Couldn't get it up the hill, and it kept coming back to him.

Did it yesterday.
20+ ft on a slow green.
Left it well short
Overhit 2nd as an over correction and ended up with about 8 foot 3rd.
