First handicap card tomorrow

As title, I'm due to go out for my first handicap card tomorrow.

My question is, do I have to complete every hole or can I pick up if I'm not going to get any better than a double bogey? Hopefully this won't be an issue (if I'm anywhere near the green I'd complete the hole anyway) but better to be prepared.

Complete every hole and give a true record of what you've scored. Let the handicap sec worry about the rest.

Thanks guys. I'll make sure to hit provisionals whenever there's a chance it's in the thick stuff then.

Just have to keep calm, remember all the good stuff from my last lesson, and enjoy it now.

one piece of advice - watch your tempo! if you start going a bit wayward, slow it down - its too easy to go too fast and chop at the ball and send it into the rough

give your shoulders a quick shake, loosen up, deep breath and have a ball
