Well after much chomping and crapness to start the season ive finally got my head from up my backside and managed to play decent at my own course for once!!

Rocked up today feeling a bit choppy from last night and didnt think much about playing well or getting a good score and even less so after putting one in the road down the first and losing a ball  After that i just thought ahh well never mind and just enjoy it, theres always next week.

Shot a gross 86 for a nett 67 :) It was a board comp as well so course was set up tough so im hoping CSS goes up one. Looking at a minimum cut of 0.9 maybe 1.2 :D

Cue celebrations in Lymm, Merseyside, Wigan et al

Well played sir. You must have missed the rain down there, monsoon up here in Cumbria. Glad I was on night shift last night is all I can say as there is no golf up here today.

Cheers.

The forecast was bad but after checking it this morning it looked like it was just missing us and heading north luckily.

Not sure mate, some inconsiderate git has booked a function downstairs where the computer is so it was cards in the box only today

Well i wasnt keeping my score in my head as i was going along, just writing each hole and trying to forget about it. I parred the 15th and thought i had played pretty solid since the balls up on the first. We got to 16th tee and i could see my mate looking at my card and whipsring to the other guy in our group so i knew it was a good one :D

I managed to scrape a bogey on the 16th after a ropey tee shot. I was a bit twitchy on the 17th but managed to find the dry land of the green and walked off with par. Stood on the 18th tee my mate said to me a safe par is a great score on this hole so then i knew i was definately on a good score  I managed a nervy bogey up the last after my mind going into overdrive :D

Didn't you win the meet at Delamere? Chomping? Mate, if you keep improving at this rate you'll be giving us all shots soon!! Remind me again, who are you playing with at Preston? Good bet methinks.

It's like VE day at Lee park.

Jelly and ice cream........

Well done matey, hope it's a name on the board for you. I bet he's never had to carve senor Beerchy before. Join the proper golfers club where there is a hole you don't get a shot on.

They're going wild in the streets of Lytham :)

Well played matey, hopefully you're name on a board...

Been playing utter mince recently, although changed on the back 9 today.

+10 for front 9 and almost chucked my clubs in the pond. -2 on the back for 36 pts.....

I managed to finally make a score. Not a comp but played in the normal roll up and made 36 points. Funnily enough felt I hit it better last week but didn't get the score. Had an inkling it could be a better day when I put my tee shot on the 229 yard par 3 opener to four feet and converted the birdie. Two halves of 18 points so steady.

Strangely I wasn't satisfied with the ball striking although alway nice to take the money for the first time in a while. Practice day tomorrow so a chance to work on the strike. Hopefully the OP get a good cut and maybe a win, or a place at the very least

I had a nice 6&4 win in our knockout today despite not playing my best.

Cheers Louise. Theres a long way to go yet as after seeing you so easily construct 36 points the other day at Davyhulme tells me your far from finished in the handicap redusing stakes.

Winning games like that cant be bad either :)

Well played Homer. The signs are good if the score has come yet you still feel a bit underwhelmed with the ball striking. Its only a matter of time by sounds of it
