Father's Day 21st June!

I get chocolate, which I do like, a lot. I keep dropping hints about getting golf shirts or balls but they never take them. My wife keeps telling me I am hard to buy for. She clearly doesn't listen to the blindingly obvious hints I keep dropping time after time.

Its always amusing that every time there is some celebration etc you get "commercialised dross etc etc blah blah "

That's just being miserable - my and the wife are happy to partake in the card giving and present sharing for them all - just a few tokens of appreciation and love for wife and family members alongside the every day stuff.

Yes I can appreciate that it might seem so. But I would really family just focus on Mother's Day. I've got my kids - and they say thanks when I help them out - and as they will be 20 and 23 in the next month or so it is these thanks for which I am truly grateful and blessed.

Lost my old man over a decade ago so this day I find a little hard as I still miss him. I use to get him a good ten year old malt and take him down the boozer for a good old Sunday session. My mum hated me for doing it but hey ho!
