I was thinking that, but it all seems a bit OTT. Like, Big Brother is watching.

Imagine every football team, or any organisation at all, had someone behind the person being interviewed, and pulled them away anytime they got a hint of something untoward being said? It seems like the PR staff need to be sacked at Red Bull, as they seemingly fail to pull Max away every time he says something controversial :ROFLMAO:

They do! Watch any full press conference and you will see someone orchestrating it. I know all the PR team at the Tampa Bay Bucs and hear them with "two more questions" or "that's it" - all part of modern day life unfortunately.

I think McLaren might need a new race strategist, its not the first time they've made the wrong decision which has cost them the race/constructor points.

Perhaps what needs to happen is that changing tyres after a red flag is banned. And banning pitstops during safety car and VSC periods for that matter. Then we wouldn't have pure luck playing a part.

It seems strange that Mercedes were fined for changing the tyre pressure during the first red flag but you can change the whole set under a different red flag 🤔

I would definitely ban free pit stops during a red flag. If you want to do anything to the car other than add cooling fans/tyre blankets/etc., then the car should be pushed into the garage and then to the back of the queue once the work is done.

I thought the issue was changing the pressure when the wheels were attached to the car. The on-board from George's car showed the engineers fiddling with his tyres on the car, and in the background the Mclaren engineers had just removed Lando's wheels to do adjustments.

IIRC it wasn’t a red flag when Mercedes did that, it was either just before the first formation lap, or during the aborted start situation.

Being able to change tyres under a red flag doesn’t seem right, but there are winners and losers in all situations.

In between the two ‘starts’ was red flag conditions
