I thought I would say that espn are running a load of old ryder cup stuff at the moment - last night they had a 2 hour re run of the 1997 game!, I managed to get an hour of it before mrs Ed's head exploded
I saw about 15 mins of Monty beating Hoch on the last at Valderamma in 1997, pouring rain and Monty positively basking in the glory and adulation as 'Hoch the Choke' choked again! Then birdiewoman took the remote off me.
On Sky anytime at the minute there is the history of the Ryder Cup (up to before the last one) from ESPN the blurb mentions Peter Allis doing it but there is no mention from him on the programme.
watched 2002 today and I have to say, I'm wondering if leaving monty out maybe a mistake. I know he's a divvy but he's so solid. So excited now it's unbearable. I am lookin everywhere for scraps of footage to keep me under control.
Off work until the end of the month for a nice little break!
Got V+ so recording all the stuff I can find, sat down this afternoon to watch the 2002 cup on SS1.
Got a full pass for 3 days of remote hogging (thank you mrs fftd!) whether my 2yr old daughter understands the importance of a putt for a half on the 18th is another matter.......
Normally so hyped up about Ryder cup & I suppose I am, but with this year it being in yankland, I don't seem as bothered I normally book time off work to watch the Ryder cup, but haven't this year.
