Congrats to the England ladies hockey team winning the Euro Champs beating the Dutch for the first time in 15 years - atmosphere was amazing at the stadium and the Olympic legacy certainly lives on in regards hockey

Aye, fair play to them. Any victory over the Dutch is mighty impressive.

Fair play to the Irish men as well. Upset Belgium by beating them to 2nd place in the group, put up a brilliant performance against the Dutch and deftly saw off England to claim the bronze medal. Not bad for a team ranked 14th in the world, particularly as Messrs Lewers and Gleghorne were playing for England. (Think Eoin Morgan in the cricket for a similar scenario)

Ireland are a very strong physical team and very dangerous from SC - they are improving very well and could see them being amongst the challengers in Rio for medals

It was great to see they organised things to give the ladies centre stage
