After another woefull driving display today I'm after the most forgiving driver out there, be it a mini driver or normal driver.
Yes I know my swing needs work but anything longer than my 5 wood is bringing me trouble at the moment.

Ping G30 and choke down on the grip a wee bit.

I changed my 3 wood to a callaway 3 deep 3 wood it goes like a rocket. And works off the deck and the tee for me. Have the driver in there but know I have good back up.
Maybe contemplate a stronger 3 wood or a mini driver it makes a great alternative.

seriously get yourself down to AG or Golf direct and have a bash at a few makes, and dont be afraid of having a bit of loft on the club 12 degrees wouldn't be too high.
my personal choice would be a 12 degree SLDR.

Any driver you like and prefer but with a 3w shaft in it, made a huge difference for me with a cut down shaft, so much more control

You will probably find that whatever you spend your hard earned cash on, will be fine for a while, then the bad shots will creep back. It's your swing, not the club. Harsh but true. Any modern driver is very forgiving.
Just a quick question. Do you have a consistent miss? Or do you spanner them left and right. If it is consistent, then maybe, just maybe, an adjustable head might do the trick. No substitute for a consistent swing though.

you identified you got driver trouble & why that will be - part of the answer depends to an extent what kind of consistent driver issues you got

if it's mostly big curvatures ways to the right or ways to the left or combination of both then sadly the truth is there's not a driver on the market that can do too much over that - that's down to delivery of face angle & swing path

things that make the driver the most difficult club to use, shaft length & lack of loft & too stiff a shaft for the swing speed normally produced

5 wood works a ways better - shorter shaft + loft

that said would say the 3 most forgiving clubs on the market about now
- if the ball is mostly going sliceville then probably Ping G30 SF Tec
- if ball goes both right & left then the Cobra Fly Z & Ping G30
- but any of them would have to have to specced with at least 10.5º & likely a regular shaft but with the shaft length no longer than 44"

{though, sorry, the best answer is the one you don't most likely want you also gotta spend some money of a series of lessons to neutralize the swing path & the AoA to deliver the cg of the club into the ball in line with the target}

I'd agree with this. At the moment you have a 9.5 degree driver which may also be contributing to your woes. I've just recently got a Benross 12 degree after playing 10-10.5 degree for years. The ball doesn't go any higher, if anything the flight appears more penetrating but it does appear to roll better on landing than my old Nike and apparently spin speeds on it aren't too high either.

I must admit it surprised me but when I tried it out I forgot the macho low loft thing and just bought it.

I would suggest you first of all spend £3.99 on the GASP mobile swing app. This will allow you to video yourself and then compare it side by side with a selection of pros. The videos are compressed so that you can move through the swing slowly frame by frame to see what you're doing with the clubface as you move away from, and back to, the ball.

There are also videos available on YouTube which will give you some decent basic pointers for some of the main driver issues (eg sliced drives, hooks, skyed drives....search for ignite golf, can't paste the link).

Hope this helps.

The new TM Gloire G woods are out soon, might be worth waiting for......

If your a TM junkie that is.........

For my last two drivers, I've had a 9.5* with a stiff shaft, and a 10.5* with an extra-stiff shaft. I had inconsistency issues with both of them, mainly poor contacts and leaks to the right, so I got fitted for a TaylorMade RBZ Stage 2, 10.5* with regular shaft, and consistency is much better. Shots are straighter, and much longer without added effort. When you hit it in the middle, the ball really explodes off the face, and I highly recommend it.

Titleist 915d2 is very forgiving. But if you're hitting it offline due to a swing fault there is not a driver in the world that will help.
