+1. My club needs to do this asap in my opinion. Other clubs of similar level have done it and it's worked, I can't understand what the issue is personally.

We made in my opinion the very retrograde step of allowing denim in the clubhouse, no you have the problem of someone dictating what is acceptable/smart. No denim no problem.

Yes, its a no brainer. Let people wear what they want as long as its not dirty etc and dont look a mess.

I cant believe some people voted no to be perfectly frank. It's 2013!

If my club doesn't allow jeans in the bar in the near future it is going to be in serious trouble. It is a shame the old guard can't see the bigger picture.

That not all people who wear jeans are scumbags and that they are losing inordinate amounts of money by being too inflexible over old values and beliefs. We've had plenty of discussions amongst the "more social" members, myself being one and we all agree that that the pot of tea for one brigade on a Monday morning will not save the club!!! They need to loosen up and move with the times or the club will go to the wall!!!! Big enough picture????? :cheers:
