For those that have served in the forces. Kohima and the verse has a special meaning. Tonight the local RBL branch was invited to a service at Ollerton. A gorgeous location where two small rivers meet. After the service our branch gives a wreath to a young lady who lays the wreath on behalf of he son who was killed in the “ troubles”/ Northern Ireland. Don’t mind admitting it affected me. Fortunately Missis T gave me a cuddle and alls well in the world now.
The lady in question later in the evening came and gave me another cuddle and thanked me for the trip I organised for the branch when we went to Ypres last year. She said she loved it. It was the least I could do. I did think sometimes
It puts your problems Into perspective.
Soz for the ramble but well For me it was a special moment.
