The last couple of weeks in the U.K. has seen several very distressing incidents. Some of the discussion has been ‘sympathetic’ but unfortunately some of the opinions expressed have been very questionable, and further evidence has proven those posts to be irresponsible.
Following last night’s locking of “Gladden the Hearts,” I contacted admin for their opinion on a number of posts by a number of members across several threads. Short version; anything that is questionably racist, even posted up not knowing another connotation attributed to it, will be “100% an instant ban.” Casual racism, e.g. “typical middle aged white/Asians” etc will be an instant ban. Anything that subsequently is proven to be inaccurate, e.g. the wrongful naming of the Southport attacker, including “he came here last year as an illegal immigrant,” will be an instant ban. You are responsible for what you post. You don’t get a free pass when you get it wrong.
We’re not looking to censor anyone but we do expect responsible posting. If you have what might be considered by some to be an extreme view, take it to another platform.
This thread will be locked. Anyone wishing to argue about it by creating a new thread or posting up in “irritations” will receive, at the very least, a formal warning. We will not accept a ‘virtual riot’ on the forum from either side of the political divide.
