Been for my Iron fitting this morning..... just got back and pondering my next move. I left my wallet at home on purpose to resist temptation....

Now i haven't been striking the ball brilliantly this week but went ahead anyway and the results between the 3 clubs we tried were pretty similar....

All about 1 club longer than my exisiting clubs.... oh and much lighter !!!

So, now what do i do ..... Rocketbladez, Nike Covert or Ping G25 's ????

Based it on 7 iron, hit the Ping slightly further but also generated slightly more club head speed..... all strikes and ball flights were similiar......

:confused::confused::confused:

if they are all very similar, just go on looks and price. screw what anyone here says. i have the rbladez and they are great! however are they actually better than the G25 or nike? probably not, go with the one which gives you the most confidence!

how old are you?

if it's over 50 get the ping;)

No not over 50 .... knew i would get some 'age' comments... however i did like the ping and have a ping bag that they would look good in ;)

There is only about £40 between them in the quoted price too ........ thats why its proving so difficult !!!

Looking at your bag and current clubs, bag etc. go for the pings, you wont go wrong!

If it's all the same results wise, then you have to decide on whether you care for a 'brand' over the rest or value for money (£40 is £40 !) over the rest.

Or if it's just about attraction - looks - then go for it that way.

Either way, I'm jealous your getting new clubs :(

All are nasty but I would pick the Ping. The G25 is progressive so gets a little chunkier at the top end, has good resale, is not made my Nike or TM....

nothing wrong with having pings if your under 50. Im only 22 and have pings and they have improved my game!!

Go with what you feel best with, like overall feel, looks and playability. for the difference of £40 i dont think it matters on cost. Chances are if your getting fitted for them you'll be keeping them for a while so the cost per use will be good value.

Got to agree with Garush34,I play ping n love them. G25s look awesome, less chunky than previous G range. Really not a fan of Rocketbladez. Personnel preference tho

It's an old joke on here about PING.

Still gets an airing every now and again.

The Ping gags have been given a bit of a rest recently. The attention has moved to Fragger and his graphite shafts when it comes to age gags.

As to the decision, if there really is no tangible difference to you on looks, feel or cost then I would probably go with the Pings as the residual value of Nike and TM clubs are very low whereas certain generations of Ping clubs hold their value very well. The G10 appears to be considered a bit of a classic and G10 drivers still command a reasonable price despite being 4-5 years old.
