decided to get a leccy trolley... suggestions wanted please

Why? If he can afford an electric trolley let him get one :D ;)

Gibbo, please dont take offence by this, but if he gets tiered after 18 holes he is obviously unfit. Buying a trolley wont help long term fitness, but a static cycle or tread mill will.

Just think getting a bit fitter even if its just walking the dog once a day, will save £200/£300 on a trolley, which could pay off a good chunk of next years subs.

I'd disagree with this - I'd class myself as pretty fit given I cycle to work 4 out of 5 days @ 33 miles a day - having a trolley, electric or otherwise, makes a big difference on some courses. I've changed from carrying to pushing a PK TWinline and it's made a difference especially in the last few holes of a round or when I do 36 in a day in terms of leg/shoulder tiredness.

So would quitting the fags - you are assuming he wants a lifestyle change! ;)

I have not heard good things about PowaKaddy reliability either, but then they are effectively the same company, so no surprises there.

I have a powakaddy and have been using it for four years now and have NEVER had a problem with it, even still using the original battery.

I played with a bloke at Beau who had had a pk sport for a week. It broke.

Viscount had a pk sport for one round at Beau, it broke. I borrowed one too. It turned on and off randomly.

Now unless Beau is a trolley bermuda triangle, the pk sport is not very robust.

nah, I am fairly fit (yes I do smoke) but... I have a dropped met arch in right foot and also had reconstructive surgery on my right shoulder a few years back, its mostly these that cause me aches and pains and I find, as I put the bag on right shoulder 1st my right side feels cream crackered by about 13/14 holes.

I will still carry for 9 holes in evenings and when trolleys arent allowed but I would rather play 18 in relative comfort and not ache like hell afterwards!!!

If you want to be able to come on here and tell everyone how great the company you bought the trolley from are at fixing it when it breaks, falls over and snaps into pieces etc, or start pi$$ing your pants with excitement just because they delivered it on the day you'd paid them to, then buy a GoKart. You might however be too intelligent to be a GK owner,it seems to be a prerequisite of ownership that you start the inevitable breakage thread with the words "through my own stupidity....".

Personally, I'd recommend a Motocaddy S3, I've got the lithium battery model and it's been faultless since I got it 18 months or so ago
