Darts

To be fair, Van Veen was stunning in the semis, he was hitting checkouts for fun. Had he kept that form going he had a genuine chance in the final. It was less a case of Littler losing in that case but VV winning. As it ended up, Littler just over powered him.

I don't think he ever had the remotest chance of beating Littler, unless Littler suffered some kind of medical episode.

Never watched darts since they drank pints of bitter whilst playing, but Luke is local, so tuned in and enjoyed it.

Went to a final at Ally Pally once and it wasd a rave.

Never knew about the wasp though, until last night.

The only thing that would have stopped littler winning was if the WASP had stung him on his dart hand .
What we can look forward to now is far more youngsters coming through the ranks and giving the old school a huge fright.

I think you are being unfair on him, or didn't see his performance in the semis.
I watched the semis he was decent, Anderson was also decent and it could have gone either way, Anderson would have given Littler a better match and I felt that after he lost. Van Veen shot his load early at the semis and was never going to reproduce his best, which was never still going to be good enough over the length of the match

So only 1 newbie then? No issue with Clayton as he is no.5 ranked and was at no.4 with just a few rounds to go in the WC, but it looks like the same old faces.

Looks like the only way for some guys to get in is the top 4, while others get in regardless...

And that really is only going to be 1 spot for the next few years with Littler, Van Veen and Humphries occupying the 1st 3

Humphries has a lot of money to defend this year, he could find himself under threat towards the end of 2026 if he doesn't have a good year.

Understand that, but I can’t see him falling out of top 4. By no means am I a darts officinardo and it’s quite plausible that those who know more than me, could say Humphries has no chance, but I think he should make top 4

Guess with Anderson not interested it should have left one spot for Rock

Bunting gets the support when in Liverpool , same with Price in Wales

He seems to have a bit of a following
Not so sure about that. Price almost universally disliked around here with a lot of negative stories about him from his rugby days. Think he gets in as the pantomime villain rather than for his support myself. Clayton is the Welsh favourite.

Searle and Noppert will be told to make it so they can't be left out like Humphries was a few years back and he ended up winning a few tournaments and the worlds
