Really happy to have been lucky enough to be selected for this awesome prize and as I am nearing the middle forties it is about time I changed to Ping, seriously can I just say a massive thanks to Mike and Ping for this great opportunity and I am now looking forward to taking my game to another level(hopefully).

For anyone who is interested I will post regularly on twitter @toady67 and will of course keep you all updated of my progress on here.

Darth,

I'm from Perth and play at Blairgowrie GC.

I been a member of the forum since 2007 and I have the doubious honour of organising the very first forum meet at Blairgowrie in February 2008.

Although not a prolific poster I am on the site most days and will usually only post when I have something of value to add to the threads (which is not often).

Less than 800 apps? Thought there would have been more than that.

Well done to all the lucky folks, good to see a strong Irish contingent in there too..... Lol

MIKE H, if you see this would you know off hand the numbers for each category? I'm also surprised at so little applications especially after over 2300+ requests for one. Can't have been easy sorting that lot out while bringing out a cracking copy for April

No problem, I play Bourn, Cambridgeshire and my current sticks are nearly all TaylorMade:

Driver - TaylorMade Superfast Burner 10.5
Fairway wood - TaylorMade RBZ 3 Wood
Hybrid 1 - TaylorMade Superfast Burner 3
Hybrid 2 - TaylorMade Superfast Burner 5
Irons - TaylorMade RAC OS 6-PW
Wedges - TaylorMade RAC 52/56/60
Putter - Odyssey 2-Ball White Ice

I got a 24.0 handicap assigned back in November based on 1 of my 3 cards. I played really well on my first card and shot 102 gross, cutting the blobs back to 2-over gave me a net 94 with a SSS 70 (yellow tees). My course is a different prospect off the whites and my other two cards were from them and would both have given me 28.0.

I played Bourn a few times as reciprocal golf with my old club Colmworth. I enjoy the course. Good luck and look forward to hearing how you get on.

Well done to all winners, Play Your Best!

The task looks easier for some than others, probably deliberatley chosen this way to be provide a range of challenges.

I was one of those who got the application forms but didn't enter, being a bit of a technology dinosaur the Twitter and Facebook requirements scared me off.
