So, after the range, I got home, missus was watching rubbish on tv, so I got the laptop out and started having a look about.
I really like the look of the Scotty custom shop and the work they do, but the time and money seem a bit crazy.

Anyone tried to re-do the paintfill, or customise their putter?
Cheers

JT, My brother in law sent his circa62 to there, from what i can remember didnt take that long, come back really nice though, new grip, all the head redone, doesnt make him any better a putter though!!!

The Cameron Custom Shop does a great job and can create a unique looking putter, but it does cost. If you want a full custom and restoration, you can send the head only, because a reshaft is included in a restoration. You can also order a Custom Shop headcover while you are at it, and can usually sell that on ebay for a premium to offset some of the cost.

The custom options kinda fall into two categories - function and form. Do you need more weight, less length etc to putt better? and what do you want for aesthetics. You can get it done up with colours of your football team, or country's flag. I have had a few done - one with a green, white and orange Irish theme and shamrocks which looked pretty good. Spend a bit of time looking at putters in the registry to get ideas.

Shipping out is cheapest with Interparcel or Parcels2go. Shipping back will be a 48 hour FedEx service, and you will not be charged customs or VAT on the shipment. The payment system on the Cameron website can be picky about non-US credit cards, but Amex cards seem to work fine. It has something to do with their verification methods.

A custom job takes about 3 weeks plus shipping time. A full resto takes about 6 weeks or so.

Lol rob, I just want to touch up the paint work as it is starting to look a bit jaded, I dont need it to be any better, I really like the putter, I feel confident with it, which is a lot better than its predecessors, I have had it going on 2 years, which is longer than any other putter I have owned lol.

Thanks for the info Ethan, I was hoping to do it myself, but the custom ops look fantastic, maybe have to look into it a bit more, I can send it from the pro shop at our golf club too, but not sure how that would work.

Cheers
