New clubs or no clubs for 2025?

Sold the old clubs and had a voucher so the net cost to me is £300.

Need a new 58° and I'm sorted

I'm in the nice but slightly frustrating position of not needing anything. I've bought most of my gear over the last couple of years so there's nothing I could justify replacing. I did think I'd cracked my driver head this week but unfortunately it was just dirt!

I got the itch to try out different, older, shafts in my irons. Bought a really good condition set of irons Cleveland CG7 Tours and have been trying out the shafts in the 6 iron. Next trip to the range is with a True Temper Dynamic Golf lite in.

Have already tried putting in the same shaft it came with as 2x times soft step (4 iron shaft) to see if near senior flex made much difference.

My Titleist GT3 driver arrived today. Significant improvement on flight and distance - just shows what a proper fitting delivers.

Had driver issues last season so have switched to a new Ping G440. Happy with it so far :)
My mate did a fitting today and just sent me the numbers he got - G425 SFT to G440 SFT, he's gained 30 yards! Crazy. Over 1000 lower rpm in spin, and 7mph quicker ball speed. Both stiff shaft although he said the new one is 5g heavier.

The only caveat to note was that he was using pink castle tees, and the fitter had him change to yellow castle tees. Bypassing the white ones altogether. That seems a very low tee for driver, but I think he pretty much hits down on the ball instead of up, hence all the spin he was getting.
