Hi guys,

After playing a round with Lump on Saturday afternoon, which I thoroughly enjoyed by the way I have decided to have a custom fiting session as he talked alot about the benefits of this.

So, I have a session at Garforh driving Range Friday evening and he said come with a few ideas of clubs in mind and they will fit me accordingly.

Now I know everyone wil say try them out and see what feels best but I was hoping for some suggestions as to which to try. I love the look of the I15's....cue old man jokes, but I was wondering if anyone could reccomend other sets in in the same sort of area. players cavity back rather than Gi?

Cheers Fellas

I have just been custom fitted and have bought a set of Callaway Razr X Tour Steel shaft irons.

Amazing, picked them up on Thursday - played Friday, Saturday and Sunday - now feel very confident with them.

They are great clubs..........

However, it's all down to personal feel and preference, they suit me but may not suit you. The point of custom fitting is not to have any "idea" going in - wait and see what the club fitter says..............

Just my thoughts anyway.

It was a pleasure Sam. Thanks for the round. Always nice to play new courses.

Regards custom fit, I'd say go to the fitting but take everything with a pinch of salt. Garforth can be a pushy when it comes to selling. They like to use the boost button to "big" up there fitting.

If you go for Ping I'd suggest heading down to Gainsborough to Ping. They will fit you, but wont try to sell you anything.

Cheers Guys, I like the look of the AP range too, I might see what they say on Friday. Is there a fitting specialist anyone could reccomend for titleist specifically?

And Lump, I look forward to a rerun at your place homefield advantage will then be yours!
