Custom Fitting Today

I had a custom fit session today at Mizuno down at New Malden, firstly i must say that the service i recieved was superb so thanks to Nick and Mizuno, now down to the fitting itself.
I arrived to be greeted with a basket of balls and was asked to warm up, after about 20 mins i went in and had my swing DNA measured, all fittings are done with a 6 iron.

Headspeed 80mph,
Tempo 5,
Toe down 2,
Kick angle 5,
Release factor 2,

The stats gave them a choice of 3 shafts these were a DNS300XP; KBS reg & an XP S300 and the MX200 head.
Next it was different combinations of the above on the Vector Pro this determined the final make up of the clubs which resulted in the following;

MX300 HEAD DNS 300 XP SHAFT

Results are

club speed 78.5
side angle -1.5
side spin 217
back spin 3882
desc angle -39.1
launch angle 18.9
ball speed 111.8
offline -8.9
carry 174.4
roll 10.2
total 184.7

All in all i would highly recommend a proper fitting session, it certainly opened my eyes and benefited me immensely.

Had my fitting last September at New Malden.Good service and no hard sell.Even gave me voucher for a cheap putter,the profit on which covered my 3 iron!

Can't ever imagine buying clubs again without a proper fitting.

Hope the new clubs work well.I managed to cut my handicap first time out,but since then some of the magic has worn off!!

World of Golf at New Malden are really good and know their stuff inside out. As others have said there is no hard sell or any bias towards any particular head/shaft

Is that still with the 6 iron?
174yds carry seems a long way for a 79mph swing.

I would always say that custom fit is a must for any golfer who wants to get the best from their game and their clubs. Its amazing the results and difference that CF can and will make.

The results are often quite staggering as well!
