Have had Ping G10's for 2/3 years now and have arranged a fitting with a local pro who has just had some state of the art equipment delivered and have an appointment tomorrow with G 20's in mind.

However the last couple of rounds I have had 42 points i Stableford Comp, OK preferred lies and 2 temorary greens but still good enough to take the cash.

I like the hybrids and my dilema now is how much benefit am I likely to achieve as I seem to have improved my shoulder turn and am hitting the ball further and straighter. I play off 13 and am early 60's

Why don't you just go and try the new irons and compare the results to your current clubs on the new system and see if it looks like they will make a difference?

Rule 1 is not to have any club in mind.

I was fitted for a driver and ended up with a 910D2 and the same happened with the hybrid - 910h. So when I went for a 3w fitting I was expecting to end up with a 910f. What I ended up with was a Taylormade R11. Up 'til then I had hated TM for their style of marketing and habit of launching a new driver every month but purely on performance, it was the best for me so in the bag it went.

Try anything and everything and you might be surprised.
