Courses played in 2023

Usual end of year thing,how many different courses including your home course have you played this year.
45 including 19 for the first time .
Standout was Carnoustie Championship , played it in May and she bared her teeth despite the rough being down, can't wait to go back in May 24

Not a vintage year with only 7 different courses but 5 of them were first timers..

At the three new courses, I came home with...

1. 12 Chromesofts and 3 ProVs. Won 1st prize in an AmAm
2. 3 Callaway Warbird balls and a bottle of red wine. Won a nearest the pin.
3. 3 sets of vintage golf clubs. Purchased. Sold one of the sets and the irons of another. More than my money back for the 3 sets. "Which was nice".

Really surprised by those numbers, much more than I expected. I'll be very happy if I can repeat those numbers

I’ve had a rough count and it’s upwards of 15 different courses with 7 of them being new.

Several of the 8 non-new ones are courses I haven’t played for years, so as good as new.

The big difference for me this year is that, at long last, I have a game which travels with me, so I’ve enjoyed the away courses that much more.

Gave up my membership at the start of the 2023 and only really played sporadically, not sure 2024 will be any different to be honest

As best I recall, 55 courses, 13 for the first time, would have been more but must have had 10 cancelled due to weather, The vast majority were for £25 or less, thanks to opens

With the cost of green fees, travelling and overnight accommodation only going one way I can see my numbers getting smaller.
There are an awful lot of courses charging way above their real value

I played 30 different courses this year, 13 of them were first time visits for me. That's my personal best for courses in a year, and new courses in a year.

Oh dear !!! - 3 away courses, none new and/or first rate
