You're well known as a slippery customer.
Our course stays fully open and only comes of the main greens after 5 days of heavy frost in a row - its been that way for 2 years now and after members moaning that it will damage the green the headgreenkeeper has proved to them he knows what he doing and no damage is done playing on frozen greens unless it's a consistent amount of days
Ours is fully open - tees and greens.
Once you get your head around it isn't golf but a good walk with some mates then it's fine. Makes you appreciate proper conditions more.
Our course is always open and on full greens regardless of frost. Only closes for snow and flooding.
Our course manager sent out an email this week explaining when he would go to temps. The short version is that he's happy for us to play when there's frost as he thinks the damage done is minimal, and will only go to temps when there is a thaw after a deep frost (so there is softer ground sitting on top of a layer that is still frozen). Course has been fully open all week so far, and they're emailing us every morning with an update.
