Frozen greens I don't mind, you have to change your game, pitch short etc. But it becomes a lottery. Verging on becoming a joke. The bit I don't understand is when the club runs comps on them. You ever putted on frost covered greens.. You start off with a golf ball and end up with a snowball. Frost on the bottom of shoes, lovely. Then you take 4-5 hrs to get around 18 holes. Seeing some of the damage done on the greens during the winter re pitch marks etc.
Yet the greens recover so well.

I don't know enough about agronomy to have an opinion on the rights or wrongs, but winter golf is for the exercise and the pleasure not the score.
