cornwall golf advice

Having played it several times, it depends for me what you want out of the day.

If you want to say you've played a Nicklaus true Championship course that has hosted the European Tour, yeah go for it. It'll be in great condition and anywhere within sight of your handicap will be a great achievement.

If you want to just enjoy a pleasant round of golf whilst on holiday, I would personally avoid it like the plague. Just my view but it's not somewhere I would play for fun, I don't want to be losing balls every time I hit it off line. It's a true tournament course, not really my idea of fun.

Haven't they redesigned the Nicklaus course since St Mellion last hosted a tour event? I thought they'd incorporated some holes from the Kernow course but I may be wrong.

As for Perranporth someone described it as a "marmite" course and I completely agree. I hate it with a passion, I wouldn't play it again if it was free.
