Guys and girls am after a bit of advice please.
The family have removed a shed and its contents and was left with an open area on the ma in laws back garden. Like a tit I said I would get someone to concrete the space. I wish I had not got involved. Anyway i Put the hardcore down on top of flat bricks which were side by side. That was whacked down. We then laid a concrete base and then put the angled concrete down to the level base near the two sided wall.
The problem Now is that the water/ rain is gathering on the lower area between the two walls. I am somewhat sceptical about putting another 1” or 2” down on top of that so the water then runs into an avenue behind the bottom wall. For me it is passing the water problem
Onto someone else. Plus I have been told that if I put an inch screed down it may eventually peel.
Initially I thought about just drilling drain holes in the concrete. But I have since thought about putting a 110 mm drain. Similar to a floplast pressfit square grid hopper which screwfix do.
That would allow water to soak away into the ground like it did when the shed was there before.
Any other idea or advice greatly appreciated .
Cheers Tash.
