Comments/Accusations about other people's handicaps

Oh were everyone as understanding, accepting and generous as your Captain. But did you win? :)

Yeah, something like 4&3 IIRC. And I didn't really play that well and i think he shot to, or pretty close to, his hcp.

But he was absolutely right. I would have had to have had a stinker and he'd have still had to shoot pretty much as he did.
 
The system is partially to blame in that it's inevitably too slow to handle a rapidly improving player. However it's all we have. I'd never accuse anyone of banditry, even on the back of a matchplay drubbing although a dog licence from a 20 handicapper was hard to swallow especially as he was four up after four and one under gross for those.
