Club Knockout Divisions?

Question about this (and any other clubs with handicap limits). Are higher handicappers allowed to enter but only given max 18 shots in any match?[/
Club knockouts have handicap limits if there above they can’t enter but weekends comps or majors as our club call them they enter on there handicaps and they can win if there score still wins off 18

At ours, the winter knockout is played in 3 divisions - off-hand, can't remember the exact cut-offs but each division is played off scratch. In summer, there are two knockout comps. The Scratch Challenge - played off scratch and only 9hc or better are eligible to play. And the Club Challenge, played off full hc & eligible to everyone.

No. One big competition for all knockouts and no limits on handicap. You know as either a high or low handicapper you could get a draw where you have to give loads of shots or come up against a very good player and its a risk you run when you enter. In the case of the OP sounds nothing more than sour grapes and I'd ignore it and if there are insufficient numbers to make a division based knockout feasible its hard to see the comps committee running with the idea
