By the way don't it just burst your bubble when you hit a great shot into a hole with nearest the pin only to find out that some Cat3-4 guy duffed it of the tee and is bounced its way to the green and got inside your shot, just not fair is it

I'd take the positives from my great shot and forget about it.

But the stroke index may dictate that a par 3 justifies a 2 shot allowance!. There was one at Spalding when we played, I think it was an Si3.

I don't think it can be generalised that much.

Yes there was and IIRC the guy who had a 3 had 2 shots. Well played Fozzie who had how many points again?

I just want to say to the OP - fantastic round well done mate. I would be very happy with an 86 also so enjoy it.

I love playing with people who are having a great round it tends to pull me along also.

All good fun but on a serious note I wouldn't ever class myself as a golfer and anyone at 10, Hacker's @ 15 or novices up at the dizzy height off 20 that tries talking like one needs some help, Shutter Island.

More time at the Range and less time sitting here dreaming would be a good start.
