Been in the process of rebuilding my swing over the last few months, and i have really noticed my driver results have changed dramatically! The swing is now smoother and wider with less speed and have developed a fade with my current set up. Always used to have a slight draw.

So the search for a new driver has begun! I have now tested about 5 and the one that seems to have yeilded the best results is the Mizuno MP600 with a reg V2 shaft (always played stiff). Be interested if anyone else plays with this driver, and what they think?

Each to their own Mikey but I bought one of these and it performed just terribly, mine had a stiff NV Proto in it.

It looks just beautiful at address but (for me) went like it still had the headcover on which, incidentally, is a bloody awful looking thing!!

It only lasted about 2 months in the bag before it went for a 2nd hand R7 superquad with stock RE-AX shaft, instantly 20 yds longer and tighter dispersion.

All my other clubs are stiff, the rifle shafts just keep my irons from ballooning. Played with these for 3 years and suit just fine. My current ( and previous) driver were all stiff shafts, but the proto VS shaft in my D1 plays too stiff because of the bore through head. If i really go after it its ok but i like more control. The V2 shaft in the Mizuno plays more like a firm and is prob stiffer than most stiff OEM shafts. I didn't go with the expectation to be a reg but it just worked! Beautifully straight and good launch angle, even the bad ones weren't that bad

Hi I had a Mizzy Mp600 for months but try as I might I could not get it to perform consistently. I eventually gave up which as a staunch Mizuno user really didn't sit well but it had to be done. I've now got a Ping G10 which plays much better for me. Incidentally I noticed Luke Donald was using a Taylormade R9 last time he was on tv. That tells you something as well.
