Ahh bugger - too sad. RIP

Wild At Heart is one of my favourite films. RIP to a true maverick.David Lynch whose works include Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead and Twin Peaks, has died aged 78.
The name ‘Laura Palmer’ and the little man in the red room…life was never the same afterwards. I just loved Twin Peaks. There was a small group of 3 of us at work who were watchers - and the day after every episode we’d get together to try and work out what the heck was going on.David Lynch whose works include Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead and Twin Peaks, has died aged 78.
id say my favorite film some great characters. Bobby Peru... like the countryWild At Heart is one of my favourite films. RIP to a true maverick.
Yup…the four notes of Twin Peak…actually just three as notes two and four are the same note…others will know if they know - but you know…Twin Peaks fan here.
I liked the Log Lady.
I had the soundtrack album on a cassette and used to play it in the car a lot.
Also big fan of Dune 1984. Prompted me to read all the books.

Saw him many times at OT. Had the rare knack of being a ruthless goalscorer but at the same a lovely humble human being. One of the all time greats. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. ♥️ https://t.co/p9RuAOQ8iV

If you have any twinges in your chest, get checked out immediately. Not a celeb, but read on our WhatsApp group a guy had a heart attack in the club car park after a round today. He was found collapsed at the side of his car. The clubhouse emptied of folk who tried to help him. One guy apparently knew exactly what to do. They did CPR and defib. Ambulance crew worked on him for an age. Upset a lot of folk at the club.
Stay safe folk.
Absolutely. If you have any twinges in your chest, get checked out immediately.
Also, if you don’t regularly check your BP or have your cholesterol checked you should think about doing so.
ps did they manage to bring him back?
Unfortunately they didn’t. one of the lads who saw what was going of came away. He said there were loads of folk just stood around watching. He saw one guy who was doing resus for an age. When the ambulance arrived he said a few words to the ambulance men and carried on doing resus alongside them. They worked on him for an age, but he passed away.If you have any twinges in your chest, get checked out immediately.

When I worked at the medical centre and Defibs were first allowed underground. We would meet the seriously injured on the way out of the pit. I would take the defib with me along with other medical equipment just in case. It initially became a problem because as soon as the first man saw a defib being carried they put two and two together and came up with 3. They assumed someone had had an heart attack and word spread round the pit like wildfire. I eventually carried the defib round in a bin liner. If a buggy has to be fetched to bring someone off a course. It’s not a bad idea to Chuck the defib in the buggy. You never knowAbsolutely.
About 10 years ago play came to a complete halt on 5th hole. Word filtered back a chap had collapsed on 9th green with heart attack. CPR from members (including a chap in my group who ran forward to help), air ambulance, but sadly he didn't make it. Talking about it after, guy who.played with him said he was saying he wasn't feeling right, but would play through it.
Fast forward a few years, guy I was playing with in a comp was playing slowly down 9th (initially we thought it was because he was playing rubbish and wanted to slow things). At half way house, he told the other 2 of us to play on, he wasn't feeling great. Said he'd just sit there for a while, then walk back to his car. After questioning what's up, I wasn't comfortable with that. So, I phoned the club to ask if they could get someone to come out and drive him back to his car. Stayed there until someone arrived, and by time owner arrived I told the owner it might be worth driving him straight to the hospital to be safe. We then played back 9, and by time we finished owner came rushing out to tell us that when he arrived at hospital, they did their tests, realised he was having a heart attack and rushed him to theatre to fit stents. And before I finished 1st drink, the guy phoned the club to thank the owner and give him an update. Incredible how quickly things happen.
So, completely agree with your post. No shame in going to a doctor / hospital. It is why we have doctors, why people want to become doctors, it is their job. Catch it earlier, before it leads to cardiac arrest, it is something that can be pretty straight forward to treat.
