Celebs who’ve passed

Herbie Flowers has passed.
For the majority of people, his work you'll be most familiar with is the bass line on Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wildside".
Herbie lived in my village and was performing up to his diagnosis and short illness. He was a stalwart of village events, was always up for a chat and was so humble - everyone who met him couldn’t help but like him. His legacy both in Ditching and global music superstars will always be remembered!

Not forgetting his part in making Sky very successful for a short period.

Scoffed at by many as boring old farts music, given they were doing their stuff from late 70s when punk and post-punk reaction to prog was still raging, if you listen now you realise how incredibly accomplished their music was, and remains - and it still has relevance today with its unashamedly classical roots and brilliant musicianship.

Sad news of Brian Hugget
He played at my course a long time ago for a one off round and broke the course record ,iirc he shot a 62.
This was early seventies , probably 1973

I hope a TV channel will show the uncut version Heaven's Gate this week as a tribute.
I'm sure that I will get tearful.

"Highwayman" the Jimmy Webb song, has been a favourite youtube viewing of mine for many years.
