Well I had been planning on buying some new mizzies early this year, but due to some unplanned expenses it looks like im going to have to put my plans on hold for a while.

Therefore instead im going to replace the grips on my existing MP60 irons (much nicer than the MP 57's Aztec :D. I was hoping to get the Black Widow Tour Silk White grips, but unfortunately they dont do them in mid-size

Anyway ive narrowed it down to the selection below, and would appreciate anyones experience of them, or if you can suggest any others, as long as they are mid-size and preferably no more than £4 each, thanks :D

Golf Pride DDS (Yellow)

Lamkin Crossline (Blue)

Black Widow Edge

PS - dont you just hate it when you type out a thread but forget to add a Subject then when you press continue you lose everything that you just typed!

Why don't you re-grip them with Mizzy M-21's? Get a set of 8 for £45 (inc. postage) off eBay, and they'll keep your Mizzys all nice and Mizzy-like. Plus, they're great grips.

Oh and I've looked at the MP-60's and I disagree. MP-57's FTW. Especially when they only cost £150 :D

Edit: Missed the bit where you didn't want to pay more than £4 for each.

Nevermind. They're still the best choice though ;)

Just put a set of Black Widow Edge on mine.

Really nice feeling grips, much softer and tackier than Tour Velvet that I had before.

Each to their own though, it depends what you like the feel of. Personally I hate corded but a lot of people love them.

Only played one round with them so I've no idea about longevity, but they do feel nice to swing. Could be my imagination, but they feel ever so slightly thinner than the last ones I had on.

Thanks Region.

Im not a great fan of cord either, so these might be well worth a try - just a shame that I cant get them in White :D

I like the Golf Pride DD2 in yellow, had them on my clubs last year. They are quite a soft compound, and wore out in about a year. I recently changed to the Golf Pride Multi compound in yellow. I'm told although a tad more expensive, these are more hard wearing. They have a good feel about them too.

Tried to have a look at your links, during my lunch, but the work PC thinks the links are to do with Weapons !!!

Any how..
It is a gteat idea, especially if the pro can clean them up for you as well.

They could check the loft and lie to see if anything needs tweaking.

Nooooooo - I wouldnt trust the pro to do my grips, will be doing them myself :D. Not only cheaper, but also quicker

Would have changed them months ago but didnt bother as I thought I would be replacing them :D

dam fairweather golfers... lol.

Ive noticed a couple of times when the grip has been damp, my right hand (non gloved hand) can move. can see the mizzy wedges and tm irons all going in for a half cord set once ive cleared some clubs down. ;)

John, if you're so keen on the Black Widow Tour Silk White grips, why not add a few layers of grip tape to build them up.
You would probably need about a mile of grip tape to do them all though :(

The thought did cross my mind bob, but the thought of sitting there for hours putting all the tape on then crossed my mind shortly afterwards and all of a sudden the first thought was forgotten about :D

I need to swap my Golf Pride Patriot grips. I seem to go through grips pretty quickly but I guess given that I play both days at weekends, practice 2-3 times per week in winter an play everyday in the summer I guess it isn't surprsing. Are there any grips that seem to stand up to a lot of work more than others. I wouldn't want anything to firm or coarse. Was tempted to go back to Tour Velvet as they are cheap to replace

Got some DD2s on a couple of practice clubs to try them out and I wasn't that keen. Quite soft and don't seem "grippy" enough so I wouldn't trust them in the wet. My old favourite is Tour Velvet but the Lamkin crosslines are also tried and trusted and feel nice. Think the blue would look nice on a set of Mizzy's as blue is their staff colour.
