Totally understand the concept and its for charity but to me this ain't golf and I'd rather play in the conventional manner and make donations, maybe a charity auction or via raffle tickets.
You are correct - it isn't golf as we know it -but the junior section doesn't have the clout to arrange decent auction / raffle prizes but this event they can put together and if they can raise a few quid for charity whilst giving the adult members a bit of a laugh then I think it is a good thing.
Having said that, I think it is probably going too far to be able to penalise your opposition (much fun though it may be) but I will feed in the ideas so far - I think they may have a winner on their hands.
