Can any clubs be fitted?

As a newbie to golf, I didn't want to spend out a lot of money so bought an off the shelf set for £200 (Fazer CTR20).

Having had a few lessons I now stand much closer and taller at address, and get much better and more consistent strikes because of it.

At address though, the grooves on the face are pointing slightly down at the toe, and I can see a slight shadow on the heel meaning it must be raised slightly.

Is this an issue and if so how much? Should they ideally be parallel to the ground or slightly up at the toe.

Lastly, if this is wrong, could I have these clubs adjusted despite being cheapies? I have seen vids where the fitters literally put them in a device and bend.

At address the club should be a little toe up.
If yours is toe down, I would suggest you get along to your local pro and ask for a fitting using and impact board. He/she will know what you mean

get a drywipe marker and draw a thick line vertically on the range ball. when you strike the ball it will transfer the ink onto the club face. if the ink on the club face stays straight then your ok. if the line points diagonal towards the hozzel then they're too flat

Or he may now be standing too close to the ball at address

I do still hit from the toe end.

welcome to my world. like bob said, toe striking doesn't mean its the club. i am a chronic toe striker and can be caused by a multitude of things. for me its because i early release and pull the club inwards.

if you're having lessons then a good pro will tell you the score

Your Fazer's are likely cast from a pretty tough steel making bending difficult.
Cast irons are harder to bend than forged as the forged metal is softer.
Your clubs could well be made from the hardest substance known to Man and as a result might simply snap if bent..

Where are you having lessons? Most clubs/ranges will have a strike board or facility to test impact. Your teaching pro will be able to see if the set up/strike is down to you and the new swing or if it's still a fault that needs to be ironed out. Stay patient and keep going
