Did you make it? I thought it was a brilliant day... for anyone who is a golf nut and doesn't like this sort of stuff must be a right grumpy so and so :smirk:

Obviously gained an extra 15 yards on my driver.... not gonna jump straight in and purchase though gonna keep testing my shafts then will test against the settings and shaft they recommended for epic on GC2 and see the comparison.... it is tempting though as much as I am gullible i'm not reading too much into the distance gain but the dispersion was there to see on the eye and backed up on trackman... once my final settings were there I buttoned 6 shots in a row within a tight area. Small sample size I know hence why I will do more testing. My best distance with roll out was 270 yards, best with my 915 was 255.

Gutted our team never won as it was 12 Epics given away + 2 single winners who in my opinion were lets say wise with what they were doing and knew what was coming- one guy gained +65 yards on his original driver so got a free epic (hmmmmm) then another never gainedany distance with it (also hmmmmm)

The team that won had a guy off +2 and his drive in practice was 343 yards and in the competition 309

The tour pros and Joe Miller were a delight to watch... Bunker lesson from Marc Warren, Nicholas colsaerts done the media part, Sebastian Gross done full swing and Sandra Carlborg long Irons and Hybrids. Sebastian Gross had me googling exactly who he was and to be honest his record isn't something to shout about but his swing was lovely- looks almost slow yet hits it a mile.

Sounds like you had a good dsy mate, let me know how the shaft things go, I've got a Fujikara that's superb

LOL I just tested epic on my lunch again and even though I wasn't swinging great I gained 6 yards with it but that's not really what I'm interested in as said.... the furthest I went off line in 10 shots was 13 yards. all others were within this...

so in other words the test thing has ended and all shafts etc will be getting flogged.

Yes I know I am a gullible fool and this is possibly just a honeymoon period!!!!

Amazing day with all them Tour Spec clubs - of course you're going to gain. Even if hitting your exact same spec against one they 'prepare' for you!

I agree with that, I too was at the Belfry and the distances they quoted some of the long drive comp people was silly. Still, if you were on the lucky team who got those healthy measurements, there's no complaining!

thats purely because Trackman would be normalising the yardages.
